A native of South Africa and raised in New York City, Joseph grew up drawing houses, making art and playing music from age 6. His passion for the arts and architecture, coupled with conservatory-level training in Fine Arts provides a unique artistic foundation that Joseph brings to each project. Joseph founded his design studio in 2010 from the desire to bring joy into people’s lives through improving their homes. Joseph believes by bringing more beauty and balance in the home, we have more beauty and balance in our lives.

Joseph spent over a decade working as a custom home builder and therefore understands the intricate balance between aesthetic vision and practical construction requirements. This blend of expertise ensures each project not only meets the highest standards of craftsmanship but also reflects the individual lifestyle and needs of his clients.

While rooted in classical design principles, Joseph’s approach is highly personalized, with an emphasis on creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional. As the Principal Designer, Joseph works closely with each client to bring their vision to life, ensuring every detail aligns with their preferences and needs.

Joseph is a licensed General Contractor and holds professional memberships with the Interior Design Society (IDS), the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), and the Natural Stone Institute. He also earned a Certificate in Applied Color from the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID).

Joseph’s work spans across Dallas, the Park Cities, New York, Colorado, and California, where he has had the privilege of collaborating with clients to create custom homes and interiors that are both timeless and tailored to their unique lifestyle. He draws inspiration from Fine Art, unique hotels, great food, Cape Town, Europe, Southern California and New York City.
